Badru Agarwala - President, CEO

Badru Agarwala founded AXIOM in 1999. Prior to this, Badru has founded Silicon Automation Systems (currently Sasken Communication) and was founder and President of Frontline Design Automation, later acquired by Avant Corporation in 1997. Badru is a pioneer in the field of simulation and verification and has developed significant technologies over a career spanning 20 years. His vision for designer productivity improvements stems from his extensive experience working with the design and verification community. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Iowa.

Vivek Bhat - Co-Founder & V.P Engineering

A co-founder of AXIOM, Vivek has over 18 years of experience in the EDA industry and has held management positions at Cadence Design Automation and Frontline Design Automation and served as Director of Engineering at Avant. Vivek has managed the development of several products in the area of simulation and verification, including cycle based Verilog simulator at Frontline, resulting in breakthrough productivity improvements. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.

Tarak Parikh - Co-Founder & V.P Products

Tarak is a co-founder of AXIOM and an EDA industry veteran with 18 years of design and verification experience. Prior to AXIOM, Tarak was Director of Application Engineering at Frontline Design Automation and has spearheaded the deployment of cycle based simulation technology. Before this assignment, Tarak has created various CAD tools and design environments at Sierra Semiconductor (PMC Sierra). Tarak holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.

Ravi Shankar R - Co-Founder of SysChip Design Technologies & Managing Director of India Operations

Ravi began his career in the software domain and subsequently went on to work in EDA and semiconductor companies such as FTD, Synopsys and Ample Communications.  He also co-founded Inspiration Technologies which later got acquired by Ample Communications in 2002.  In his current position, Ravi is responsible for driving key facets of operations, R&D and IP Development at AXIOM. His areas of expertise include ASIC Design & Verification, with interests in Random Verification and front-end methodology optimization. With an experience of over 13 years, Ravi is also an active speaker in various industry forums.

Peter Robinson - V.P World Wide Sales and Business Development

With over 25 years of industry experience and a solid track record in the Semiconductor and EDA market places, Peter has served in various sales and sales management positions at LSI Logic for 8 years and then worked with Mentor Graphics for 5 years. He then moved on to work with 0-In Design Automation as Sales Director in early 2000 and contributed significantly to enabling their acquisition by Mentor Graphics in late 2004. Peter joined AXIOM Design Automation in April 2006 and is now handling all sales and business development activities for the company. Peter holds BSEE in electronics from the Farnborough Technical Institute, in the UK.

Raghavendra Mohan V - V.P Sales, Asia Pac

Mohan has more than 15 years of rich experience in sales & marketing in diverse domains like EDA tools, Chip/system Design services, Systems and Networking technologies, software and semiconductors in companies such as D’gipro, Synopsys and Ample Communications. He co-founded Inspiration Technologies which later got acquired by Ample Communications in 2002. He was also the co-founder of SysChip Design Technologies which got acquired by Axiom Design Automation in 2007. In his current position, Mohan is responsible for all the business development activities for Axiom’s tools and services solutions in the Asia-Pac region. Mohan also heads operations and HR for Axiom India.

Vikas Kumar Soni - V.P Services

Vikas has over 12 years of diverse experience in the fields of EDA & Chip Design. He started his career in EDA through D’gipro and later on moved to Synopsys. He was an implementation specialist and helped various customers in their tape-outs. After his stint at Synopsys, he moved over to ASIC designs. He lead various ASIC design teams during his tenure at Inspiration Technologies and Ample Communications. He was instrumental in various first-pass silicon successes and has worked on varied domains like Networking, Chipset Design, etc. At present, he is responsible for all of Axiom’s Chip design services delivery to the customers of Axiom.
